Z * Scugog Citizen -- Wednesday, July 5, 1995 -- 25 Pe Port Seniors Club welcomes new executive Approximately 100 Seniors were at the Latcham Centre for a meeting and pot-luck dinner which also marks the end of the mandate for the present Executive and the swearing in of the new Board. Grace Bassett and Jean Carnochan were greeters for this meeting and the Redmans looked after the registration. Edna Beckett accompanied the Seniors on the piano in the singing of our TRKE ov well, ms THE July LONG WEEKEND AND TIME TO, TRADITIONALLY, National Anthem and the Grace before meals. A fine meal was provided by the excellent cooks that we have in our group. The kitchen staff as always, did a great job. Jacklyn Kerr of Kerr Bus Lines informed the meeting on trips that are available to all. Further information is available by calling 985-7696. Geoffrey Gilham led the Seniors in a rendition of three songs that "we remembered from bygone days. Musicians from Paula Copithorn's Music Studio entertained us with solo and duet performances on the piano. Our congratulations to all the performers for their fine display of talent and to Paula for giving us the opportunity to hear them. The Senior's Choir presented five songs that took us back to our early years including the male section of the Choir giving us a hilarious rendition of "Olde MacDonald's Farm". Thanks to all the Performers for the fine entertainment. All' members of the old Executive 'spoke to the Seniors about the changes and new items that have added or replaced the old way we conducted our meetings and other activities. We trust that a majority find these changes are a improvement. DOWN THE! CHRISTMAS Roy Grierson officiated in the installation of the new Executive who will be looking after the affairs of the Port Perry Senior's Club for the next two years. The meeting closed with all joining in singing God Save The Queen. Our next meeting is tentatively planned for July 26th 1995 which would include a pot-luck dinner.
