Candidates who spend less than $2,000 on their campaign are not required to provide a detailed break-down of how. much they spent and how much they received in contributions to their campaign. # They give a sworn statement to ,the clerk's office that their campaign was under $2,000. However, those who spent more than $2,000 must report a detailed accounting of where they spent the money and where they received it. The statement shows that Howard Hall spent $11,919 on his campaign for a third straight term as mayor. He received $11,950 in campaign contributions and went on to easily defeat challenger David Malcolm who spent less than $2,000. Ken Carruthers spent Derby winners A 44 inch lunker entered by Dwight Slater of Little Britain topped the entries in the muskie division last week in the Citizen Big Fish Summer Derby. William Jones of Uxbridge took the small mouth bass category with a fish measuring 20 inches. And in the walleye category, Jamie Sauter of Port Perry was the winner with his fish measuring 24.76 inches. The three winners will receive gift vouchers worth $50 at any of the sponsoring businesses in the Fish Derby.
