They are looking to take over the Party reins from Audrey McLaughlin who is stepping down. Alexa McDonough will be at the Thornton Dundee Centre on Sunday, Aug. 20 at 7:30 PM. She is a former leader of the NDP in Nova Scotia. The centre is located at the Streets in Oshawa. On August 21, veteran Saskatchewan MP Lorne Nystrom will host an open house at the Steelworkers Hall at 115 Albert Street in Oshawa. Doors open at 7:00 PM Nystrom believes the state of the national economy is the primary concern of voters in Canada today. And on August 24 nationalist and author Herschel Hardin will be at the Whitby Public Library (405 Dundas St. West) at 7:30 PM.
