Town Hall 1873 will "swing" into its 20th Anniversary season with an outstanding quartet of recording stars led by guitarist Ed Bickert, who has been referred to by leading jazz critics as "the epitome of modern jazz guitar" and "simply one of Canada's great national resources". Raised in BC's Okanagen Valley, Ed Bickert moved to Toronto in 1952 and began legendary jazz greats as Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Woody Herman, Dizzy Gillespie, Sarah Vaughan; and Quincy Jones. Musicians and critics alike have showered praise on his unique and gentle tone.
