wr 54--Beugoq Cifcen = = Tica, Woy 7000 = Va Pony-Club Teams to compete at Prince Philip Games Teams from 12 Central Ontario Region pony clubs will compete at the first Prince Philip meets of the 1996 s&ason, to be held at the Port Perry Fairgrounds (Western Division) and at the Centreville Fairgrounds (Eastern Division), both on Sunday, May 12th at 10am. The Port Perry meet is hosted by the Uxbridge-Scugog Pony from the Centaurus, 'Huronia, Simcoe, Toronto and "North, York, Tynedate and Uxbridge- Scugog branches, while the Baltimore 'Hills, Durham, * Kawartha, Napanee, Prince Edward County and Victoria branches will sent teams to the Eastern Division meet. The Prince Philip Cup Games are a team competition played by Club and Centreville meet by the Napanee Pony Club. Spectators are welcome at both meets without charge. The Western Division meet will feature teams Pony Clubs around the world. The Games are played by teams of five riders and five ponies, four of whom participate in each game. If one club is short d player or has one extra, mixed teams are formed with members from different clubs. All of, the Games are variations on the relay 'race, and all are great fun for players and spectators alike. There are three official levels of competition; C for beginners, B for more experienced riders, and A fot the top players. There is also unofficial competition at the Masters level, for players over 14 years old.
