The News Clips got some fine pitching from Ryan Fraser and Travis (Hawk) Hockley. Out in the field, some great plays were made by Steve Ball, Brad Fraser, Adam Mahaffy, Travis Pickard and Nick Skerratt. Raven Ward and Cam White were strong af their positions and at first base, nothing got past lan Parliament. It was a fine season for the team and the coaches are proud of everyone. For Durham Pharmacy, it was a great season as the team lost just one game. In their first playoff last Tuesday, the team defeated Kinsmen 14-4, with Kevin Cochrane and Scott Harper han- dling the pitching. Some good hits were made by Todd Peters Lee Hoare and a homer by John Froates. : The Port Perry Star News Clips were winners of the Squirt Boys HL tournament held over the weekend (see story). Adant Davis made some fine catches at second and Kevin Hill came up hot on a couple of line drives at short. Sunday morning brought out the best in the boys as Mike Morden cashed in three homers 10 put the team into the champi- onship,** One of Mike's round trippers was a grand slam. In the final, it just wasn't meant 10 be for the Pharmacy gang against the News Clips. Corey Raines, Danny Drebit and Sean Roncetti turned in strong games and Kevin Cochrane hit a homer and a double. Coaches Mike Cochrane and Lloyd Morden were very pleased with the way everyone performed, calling the boys a credit to themselves and their families. They offer congrats to the News Clip players and coaching staff and promise a "re-match for pext year." yover-up!
