Beloved husband of his adoring wife Patricia. Father of Craig Bouckley (Myla), Karen Lajoie (Marc) and Trent Bouckley. Stepfather of Jeffrey Villeneuve (Lorraine) and Kelly Villeneuve (Rod Strain). Grandfather of Jacob, Jordan, Jasmine, Daniel, Taylor, Alyssa, Sydney, Mason, Apostolos, Broden, Jennifer and Nicole. Brother of Gary (Brenda), Wendy Pickell (Raymond) and Lorri Patfield. Predeceased by his first wife Dorene and his parents Ernest Llewellyn Bouckley and Alberta Marie Bouckley. Wayne was born March 13, 1947, raised in Oshawa. He had a love of all sports. Even promising us this year the Leafs will win the Stanley Cup and the Jays the pennant. A classic GM car lover all his life, Wayne was only 16 when he started with the "boys group" at General Motors in Oshawa where he worked for 37.4 years. He will be dearly missed by his wife Philomena (nee Gangemi), daughter Karyn Gibney, son-in-law Brendan Gibney, cherished grandchildren Paige and Colin, sister Mary McAoy and several nieces and nephews, brother- in-law to Joe Gangemi, Josephine Gangemi, Lou Suszek and Gina Tass. John spent his entire career with the Durham Catholic District School Board and served as an elementary school principal in several schools. He was a respected leader and his staff appreciated his sense of humor and thoughtfulness. He served as president of OECTA and was active in his parish community of St. Mary of the People. John was always generous with a smile and had many friends. He enjoyed travelling and had many trips to Florida with his wife and daughter. His interests included curling, photography, coin and stamp collecting. He was an avid reader and enjoyed watching a variety of sports live and on television. He particularly enjoyed watching his grandson Colin play hockey. John was happiest when surrounded by friends and family especially his grandchildren with whom he was enthralled and proud of all of their accomplishments. His family is grateful for all the compassion extended by family and friends throughout his illness. He will be missed terribly as he was a supportive, loving face for all. Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 8th from 3-8 p.m. at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME (847 King St. W. Oshawa). He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Mary Fran. Proud father to his children Graeme and Lesley, Rachael and Ashley, and loving papa to Alasdair and Lachlan.
