Happy 'Platinum' 70th Wedding Anniversary Bill & Joyce Foreman June 23, 2021

This love story started over 73 years ago when Joyce and Bill met as teenagers in Oshawa, Ontario. Joyce was apprehensive of Bill's famous red hair but was persuaded by her friend Irene to give him a chance. After all, it was "only a date,

she didn't have to marry him!"

Bill and Joyce were married on June 23, 1951, at Simcoe St. United Church in Oshawa. The happy couple honeymooned in a cabin in Deseronto, Ontario, and then travelled to

Lake Placid in New York State.

The couple settled in Oshawa and created a loving home for four children. Gary, Laurie (1998), Scott, and Shelley. Bill (Red) retired from GM as a General Supervisor and the couple continued to travel the world, spending winters in Florida and continue to enjoy their cottage on Balsam Lake. They sold their beloved family home and moved into their apartment where they are currently waiting out the pandemic.

Mom and Dad, your unwavering love and dedication to one another and the family you've created is an inspiration. 73 years together, 4 children, 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren,

2 homes, and countless GM vehicles.

Wish we could all celebrate this statistically 'one in a million' milestone together!
