On Friday, May 20 at about 5 p.m., Durham Regional Police were called to an incident where an SUV and motorcycle collided at 380 Taunton Rd. E. The motorcycle driver was taken to a Toronto area trauma centre, while the driver of the SUV wasn't injured, police said. The SUV driver remained at the scene and cooperated with officers, noted police. Members of the Collision Investigation Unit conducted an investigation and roads in the area were closed for several hours while evidence was collected, police added.
