What a wonderful life they had together. Sheila is survived by our 2 daughters: Catherine Ann and Susan Lynne of Oshawa. Sheila was a devoted mother and friend to our girls. Sheila is also survived by her sister Margaret Geisberger and her husband Bill of Brechin, as well as brothers-in law Don Whitbread and his wife Marilyn and Bill Whitbread and his husband Gary Christie, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. She was an avid reader and puzzler solver. Sheila so enjoyed making cards for all her family and friends. Special thanks to the Lakeridge Hospital Staff in the Trauma Centre and the Critical Care 2 Unit. As per Sheila's request there will be no visitation and she will be cremated. I will miss you forever Sheila! - Harold MCCARROLL (nee Murtha), Gail Marie June 4, 1947 - May 23, 2022 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Peacefully passed away after a brief battle with cancer in the presence of her husband and son. Loving wife of Dan McCarroll for 54 years. Devoted mother of Dan Jr (Kelly) and grandmother of Madison and Aidan. She is predeceased by her parents Earl and Lucille and her sister Patricia. She will be dearly missed by her siblings Marlene (late Ted), Wayne (Lauraine), Harry (Debbie), Rose (Bob), Michelle (Bruce), Thomas (Sue) and Colleen (Tom) as well as her nieces and nephews and many cherished friends. Originally from Downeyville, Gail moved to Whitby when she married Dan and there lived life with passion for her family, books, gardening, and the Toronto Blue Jays. Gail will be missed by all who had the joy of having her in their lives. Any donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. DAWSON, James "Jim" February 12, 1936 - May 19, 2022 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at the age of 86. Loving son of the late Mary and James Sr. Beloved father of Renee, Michael, Patrick, Roxanne, James (Chip), Christopher and Eric. Sadly missed by his 10 grandchildren. A special thank you to the health care workers on G8 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for the exceptional care he received while in the hospital until his passing. Jim was born in Port Arthur, Ontario, but lived the majority of his life in Pickering, Ontario. He was a handyman who could fix anything. He liked to tinker on anything mechanical, but mostly he enjoyed building projects. Jim was an avid car enthusiast and enjoyed NASCAR races. He was a millwright and was a proud member of millwrights local 2309 for 55 years. CYR, Cameron Edward "Cam" ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ With heavy hearts, the family is saddened to announce the sudden passing of Cam at home on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at the age of 64. He was the beloved son of Charlie and Beryl, loving father of Tyler (Trina) and adoring grandfather of Logan and Sienna. Predeceased by infant brother Laurie, he will forever be lovingly remembered by sisters Kim (Allan) and Leanne (Peter) and brother Jeff. A wonderful uncle dearly loved by his nieces and nephews, Cam was known for his terrific sense of humour and kind, compassionate nature. BRITTON, Bradley John Wakefield ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Born on January 28, 1950 passed away at the Belleville General Hospital on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at the age of 72 years, with his family by his side. Brad will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 49 years, Heather (née Camken). Cherished father to his son Stuart. Dear brother of Pearl Semcszyszyn, Murray (Helma), Paul (Bev), Ruth Mathewson and predeceased by his siblings Larry, and Carol Squires. Brother-in-law to David Camken (Vanessa) and Robin Camken. Brad will be greatly missed by his many nieces & nephews, friends and neighbours, especially the Nickel Night Boys. Before moving to Quinte West, for many years Brad lived and worked in Oshawa where he was a partner in Stradwicks Flooring, a longtime member of the Kinsmen Club of Oshawa and the Connaught Park lob ball team as well as being an avid golfer. As rheumatoid arthritis took its toll, Brad became more of a spectator, watching NFL, PGA, NASCAR and the Blue Jays. He still enjoyed boating, shooting pool and playing euchre. In keeping with Brad's wishes, cremation will take place and a celebration of life will be held at Heroes Landing, 57 Stella Crest., Trenton on Sunday, June 12th, 2022 from 1-4 pm.
