CANADIAN PRODUCE IS HERE! Three teens were arrested after police allege a pickup truck was stolen from a scrap metal yard in Whitby. The incident happened at about 6:50 p.m. on Monday, July 11 in the area of Taunton and Garrard roads in Whitby, Durham police reported. A citizen called 911 after seeing three boys stealing one of their company trucks, police said. The teens were confronted by a victim, who was assaulted, police added. Two of the teens were arrested near the scene, while a third fled on foot. A K-9 Unit assisted in searching for the suspect, but couldn't locate him, police noted. The third suspect was arrested a short time later. The victim suffered minor injuries. An 18-year-old man and two 15-year-old boys were charged with theft of a motor vehicle and assault.
