We are glad to see Mr, Herb Nich- ols at church on Sunday after spend- ing a month in Oshawa Hospital, and hope he will soon enjoy the best of health again, Congratulations to Mr, and Mrs, Rufus Clark, Rochester, on the arrival of a fine boy, Mrs, Clark is in Bow- manville Hospital and is doing nicely, Services on Sunday as usual were all well attended, Our Sunday School superintendent, Mr, L, J, Courtice, was present and Mr, W, R, Courtice had charge of the school, - Mr. and Mrs, Horshurgh, Cleveland, Ohio, were with Mrs, A, F, Rundle Sunday and have gone to Muskoka for a few weeks, Mrs, Rundle accom- panied them, EBENEZER Ebenezer, Aug, 8.--Sunday services were held as usual at Ebenezer on Sun- day last with our pastor, Rev, H, J. Stainton in the pulpit at both church services, Large congregations were present both morning and evening and were well rewarded by two excellent sermons and two fine services of song, In the morning Rev. Stainton preached from the text found in Matthew 12 and 45 and the choir rendered an anthem and Mrs. (Rey.) Stainton sang a beau- tiful solo, In the evening he spoke to the younger congregation on the subject "The Greatest Question that Was Ever Asked," namely "What Will We Do With Jesus?" "The choir again added .to the service with an anthem and Miss Francis Hancock' sang a lovely solo. Rev. Stainton was as- sisted in the service by Rev, Clarence Ferguson who is one of the young men who has chosen as his profession, the Christian ministtry. Everyone was very pleased to have him with us in our evening serrvice of worship. MARINE PHENOMENON ON YUCATAN COAST Merida, Mexico, Aug. 8.--A mar- ine phenomenon has taken place on the Yucatan Coast, where, presum- ably on account of a volcanic erup- tion, dead fish in huge numbers, in- cluding large deep sea speciments, are floating about for miles all along the coast, poisoning the surrounding waters.
