"BLACK DIAMOND EXPRESS" AT THE NEW MARTIN Monte Blue, as Dan Foster, en- gineer, epitomizes all that js fine. strong and loyal in the railroad man. His pride is that he is al- ways in on schedule, that he can put bread in the mouths of his widowed sister's children, that he is in good standing with his em- ployers and with the men of the Brotherhood. That the speeding car of a joy- riding society girl should crash into his train, causing the first accident to him, but this is forgotten im pity for the girl. Pity turns easily into love, and before he knows it he is engaged to a girl whose mother comes to plead that she cannot stand poverty. The engineer's brother goes to the dogs, and for the girl's sake Foster gives her up. When she marries the rich man, Foster is the engineer on the express that carries her private coach and brid- al party. Bandits hold up the train One of them proves to be Fost- er's brother. Terrific are the ad- ventures he goes through to keep his honor clean. In the cast in support of Monte Blue are, Edna Murphy, Myrtle Stedman, Claire McDowell, Carrol Nye, William Demarest and J. W. Johnson. Howard Bretherton Mi- rect. "The Black Diamond Ex- press" a Warner Bros. production comes to the New Mantin Theatre next Thursday for a run of three days. OFFICERS Jogan, W. Va.--Ed.
