The merchants in town have an- nounced that this week will be the last time the half holiday on Wednesday afternoon will be ob- served, During the winter the stores will be opened every after- noon, Well diggers have been busy in the village during the past week. Miss G. Long was very successful in bringing home a medal for the Continuation school, Mr. Gordon Hunter left last week for Hamilton to take up elec- trical engineering.
