Fleming's Motor Car Mixed Up In Whitby Accident The big motor car of R, J. Fleming, ex-Mayor of Toronto, was the automo- bile mixed up in the motor crash on Saturday night just west of when Carman IL. Ashley, of Belleville, suffered serious injuries. The chief of police at Whitby states that it was reported to him that the accident was the fault of the motor cyclist. The car is very badly damaged. Enquiries at the Oshawa Hospital elicited the infor- mation that Mrs. C, Ashley, the injured man, has returned to her home in West Huntington, near Belle- ville. The names of the chauffeur of the car, and of the Oshawa people who picked up the injured man, are unavailable. As Mr. Ashley is not seeing anyone it cannot be learned whether any legal action will follow the smash-up. Getting down to details however, presents a problem that involves some small expenditure. In the case of Alexandra Park these could be used during Fair Week, while at Lakeview Park any such improve- ments would be useful to the crowds at all times. There are other sites that could be mentioned, but none of them will be utilized unless some asso- ciation that is interested in the tourist trade takes the lead and spends a little money in equipping the proposed camping grounds along the lines that have heen established in many other Canadian cities.
