Ap- parently Bowmanville and Clare- mont have decided the matter be- tween themselves, This has caused considerable ill feeling in Oshawa soccer circles and local clubs effect- ed have taken the matter up with the O.F.A. The Ontario body dealt with the questions which are caus- ing all the trouble on Monday eve- ning. An appeal lodged by the Brooklin Club from a decision of the O. and D.F.A, was upheld and the fee of $60 returned. The ap- peal of the Ontario Regiment from a decision hy the O, and D. was not considered and the fee of $10 was returned, When the last scheduled games were played Bowmanville was lead- ing the Eastern section while Clare- mont was leading the Western divi- sion. Secretary C. A, Mason en- deavored to call a number of meet- SE ---- ings but failed to get a sufficient number of the officials out. Presi- dent Dr, Devitt, it is understood, also called one or two meetings with the same success. If the O. and D. is to close its season in a satisfactory manner it is up to the executive to have a full meeting and handle the disputes in a business way, The Regiment team claim to have a better chancé for the Eastern sec- tion championship than Bowmanville. They allege that the latter used four players, who were ineligible, against them in the last match.
