Not only has he been a thorough student, but he has been an ardent churchman who has never spared himself in the service of the church. The choir was under the direction of Mr. Woods, and showed their good leader- ship. Their three anthems were well rendered and Miss Marjorie Davis, the soprano soloist is worthy of spec- ial mention for the manner in which she handled the difficult solo in the first anthem. Their last number which was entirely unaccompanied was splendid. The local choir with their husbands and wives entertained the visitors, appreciative "talks" and fefresh- ments. "The Port Perry choir returns the visit by singing in Markham next Sunday night, and the C.G.LT. girls will substitute at home, assisted by Miss Edith Flynn, of Toronto. The Church naniversary will be held on May '16th, with Rev. Dr. -Archer Wallace, of Toronto as preacher. Dr. Wallace will lecture on May 16, on the Canadian Rockies, illustrated with magnificiently colored slides.
