The deceased was born in Mariposa near Little Britafn, in '1882, the only child of Thomas Henry Wallis and Katie McCalder and lived most of her life on the farm, acquired by her grandfather, Neil McCalder, who mi- grated to America from Scotland over one hundred years ago. In 1907 she married Roy St. John of Brock Township, taking up resi- dence there for a time; later returning to the home farm, » About eight years ago, owing to ill health, they rented the farm and moved to Port Perry, where she made many warm friends, who sincerely mourn her passing. The following verses appear in a daily paper appealed to the writer and we wish to pass them on: YOUR JOB The Lord had a job for me, but I had to much to do. I said, "You get somebody else or wait till I get through." I don't know how the Lord came out, but He seemed to get along; But I felt kind of sneakin' like 'cause I know'd I done Him wrong. . Moase spent several days in Toronto | ticular praise is due to Mr. Bernard Him myself, needed Him right away, An He never answered me at all, but I could hear Him say-- Down in my arcusin heart--nigger; I'se got too much to do: You get somebody else--or wait till I get through." Now when the Lord, He have a job for me I never try to shirk; I drops what I have on hand and does the Good Lord's work, : And my affairs can run along or wait till I get through, H Nobody else can do the job that God marked out for you. --Paul Lawrence Dunbar.
