November 7th, at 8.15 A real treat is in store for all those who will help to fill the High School auditorium, next "Tuesday evening, when the Juvenile Band of our neigh- boring community will pay Port Perry a visit, and demonstrate what. boys and girls from eight years of age and upwards can do with band and orchestral instruments. A year and three months old this young band has given thrills to their audiences where ever they have per- formed, and under the direction of their teacher, Mr. Martin Chenhall, Mus. Bac. intends to be ready to com- pete in their class at the Canadian National Exhibition in the coming contest. i ' . > Last July and August this band gave weekly concerts in their home village, when it 'is said that "on con-: cert: night cars were seen from 30. miles around, and once a month play the evening service in the. United Church, the congregation joining in the singing with a real relish." P. Stouffer has resigned his position as choir leader of the Port Perry United "Church, after sixteen years .of service.
