Port Perry Lions Lions Smith, Kerr, Weir and Hutch- 'eson motored to Bowmanville on Mon- day for six o'clock dinner with the Bowmanville jungle. They report an excellent time and a splendid meeting at which Mr. McDonald gave the ad- dress, The meeting was dedicated to "Conservation of Sight" and was under the direction of that committee. Mr. McDonald will address the Port Perry Lions on Friday this week, and Lion President Jim would like to see a 100% turnout. Mr. McDonald is himself blind as the result of a youthful experiment at the age of six. He sought to find out if he coild make a dynamite cap go bang if he hit it with a hammer. He succeeded beyond his expectations but it cost him his sight and one hand; but he was undismayed and got through - High School and graduated from the University with the degree of B.A. in spite of his physical handi- cap. Browne, was presented with a pen and pencil set as a token of appreciation for the services he has rendered the lodge. The presentation was made by R. W. Bro.A. B. Cawker. Following the meeting R. W.
