What added to the enjoyment of the evening was the fact that it was a complete surprise to Beedle and the guests were afraid he was going to fall off his chair when the birthday cake, complete with lighted candles, was brought in. After a sumptuous dinner, Gracie "Fields" (?) retired to another room, donned a pair of trousers and acted as "Sir" Bountiful, bringing in an arm- ful of presents for Beedle. He was the recipient of many gifts including two cars and an airplane, so if you happen to sec something zooming around town these days, don't worry it will just be Beedle. Also among the presents, were two cigars and if he ended up with a big head after that, a box of aspirin to clear it (his head), and a package of chiclets to take the taste: away. Beedle thanked every- one most heartily. o> 'Don't Miss This Cargo of Fun!
