OBITUARY MRS, GEORGE HOWSAM In her 68th year, Mrs. George How- sam, whose maiden name was Ida Cutting, died at Bowmanville Hospital on March 13th, 1944, Mrs. Howsam was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Cut- ting, of Uxbridge. As a young girl, Mrs, Howsam at- tended school at Uxbridge. * In 1894, she married George Howsam, of Utica and they lived on their farm south of Utica until early in 1929, when they built and moved to their home in Port Perry. Five sons were born of this mar- riage all of whom survive their mother -- Air Vice-Marshall George Howsam, of Calgary, Alta,; Chas, N. Howsam, of Port Perry; Earl Howsam of Stouffville; Walter Howsam, of Epsom; Major M. Howsam, of Pem- broke. Richard Cutting, of Uxbridge, a brother, also survives Mrs, Howsam. Mr, Howsam predeceased his wife in October, 1929.
