Miss Marion Brent of Toronto, spent the week-end with relatives in town. Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Rogers, of Osha- wa, visited with Mr. D. Corbman for the holiday. Mr. and Mrs. William Kaufman, of Toronto, are spending a week at Bird's Eye Center Park. Mr. and Mrs. Kaufman were former residents of Port Perry. We welcome them back. PORT PERRY G. & G. All donations, if any, to be given to the local hospital fund. PRESENTATION At the Lodge, A.F. & A.M., Dr. J. B. Lundy, the newly installed Master, was pre- sented with his master's apron by Mr. David Jackson, on behalf of Mrs. Lundy; and with a two-tone gavel on behalf of himself and his wife. The wood from which the gavel was made was taken from trees grown in the Doctor's garden. These gifts are very highly appreciated by Dr. Lundy com- ing as they did from his family. DEATHS GIBSON--In Cartwright, on Tues- day, July 2nd, 1946, Alice V. Asling, beloved wife of Charles Gibson, in her 70th year. MARRIED MONTGOMERY-WRAY With red and white peonies, blue delpeniums and Sweet William form- ing a setting for a very pretty lawn wedding at the home of the bride's parents the marriage of Myrtle Mil- dred, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Wray, Port Perry, and Gordon James Montgomery, son of Mrs. James Montgomery and the late Mr. James Montgovery, of Grand Valley, Ontario, was solemnized Saturday, June 29th at 2 o'clock, Rev. Clifford Smith, of Port Perry United Church officiated, and Mrs. Smith played the wedding music. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a full length gown of white lace and silk jersey with a sequined coronet holding her fingertip veil and eo ot and carried a shower of red roses and : form. . The bride's sister, Miss Lois Wray, as bridesmaid, wearing a gown of pale i pink sheer with a matching headdresss a: of pink net caught in a bandeau of pink and white roses, carried a bou- quet of pink roses surrounded by mauve and pink sweet peas. Brother of the groom, Mr. Morris Montgomery, of Oshawa, acted as best man, At a reception on the lawn the bride's mother received in a powder blue suit with white accessories and a corsage of pink sweet peas. Assisting her was groom's mother in blue printed crepe with white accessories and a corsage of pink carnations. For a motor trip to Niagara Falls and South Western Ontario, the bride chose a two-piece powder blue suit with white accessories and a corsage of sweetheart roses.
