CHRISTMAS SEALS Many of our residents have received through the mails, packages of Christ- mas Seal issued by the Tuberculosis Association. The receipts from these seals are used to finance the T. B. Free X-Ray. While the local Lions Club sponsors the drive, they sanction the sale of the seals by the Kiwanis Club. Marriage to take place in the latter part of December. OBITUARY Following a short illness, Mrs, W. E. Harrison passed away on November 27th, 1946. The funeral mass was held in the Church of Immaculate Conception, Port Perry, Ont, on November 80th. Interment was in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Port Perry. Mrs. Harrison's maiden name was Helena Connolly and was born in Prince Albert, Ont., April 9, 1895. She lived most of her girlhood life in Toronto, coming to Port Perry as a bride twenty-eight years ago. She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Marjorie -and Mrs. Grant Bentley (Lucille) and one son Billy, all of Port Perry; also one sister, Mrs. A. B. Quinn, and ono brother, Mr. Frank Connolly, both of Toronto. ALL-CANADIAN CONTEST FOR BOYS AND GIRLS CALF CLUB MEMBERS Announcement has heen made that the Holstein-Friesian Association of Canada will again this year sponsor a special Judging Contest amongst Calf Club members throughout the Domi- nion in connection with the All-Cana- dian Selections of Holstein cattle. Prizes amounting to $100 are being offered to the winners. The Contest is open to all boys and girls who are this year showing Holstein calves in their clubs. From amongst the animals nomi- nated for All-Canadian consideration, a committee of judges will select up to six in each class. Photos of these selections will be published in the De- cember issue of the Holstein-Friesian Journal.
