"In 1881 he married Mary (Minnie) Stickney, who predeceas ed him in 1923. In 1925 he married Effie Ripley, of Westport. He leaves to mourn his death, wife and one daughter, Mrs, C Edmonds (Merle) of Oshawa. Mr. Taggart. spent 4nost of his life in Port Perry. In his early years, he 'was general agent tor the Noxon fmi- plement Co., of Ingersoll; and later for Massey-Harris Co, and Frost & Wood. For a few years later in life he took up insurance. PORT PERRY BAND ASSISTS WITH CHURCH SERVICE rd On Sunday evening, March 9th, the service at the United Church was pri- vileged to have the Port Perry: band _ under the able direction of Mr. V. Stouffer, assist with the music by ac- companying the hymns and also by playing several very -fine numbers. This musical talent so generously given was much appreeiated and Port Perry is to be congratulated on the formation of this band which will add much-to-the-musical -life- of - the -town. After the service, the members of the choir and of the band with their lend- ers Mr, Foster and Mr. Stouffer were entertained and enjoyed a dainty lunch in the Sunday Schoél--room; through the kindness of the Women's Association under the direction of the president, Mrs. Z. M. Jackson.
