The Ziemanis' were among 1300 immigrants who made the trans-Atlantic crossing in the SS NELLY. PURPOSE -- The Heber Down farm was planned for strip crop- ping at a Field Day on Sept. 8th, 1949, and has been farmed this way since that time. Another Field Day now gives farmers an opportunity to return to the farm to see for themselves how the plan is workiig out. Parking will be in two areas on the farm just south of the high- way. -- People will walk in farm lane to buildings. Exhibits--The Department of Public Relations, 0,A.C., Guelph, is setting up a number of exhibits in the farm implement shed. The Dept. of Forestry will have a Forest Tree Planter on display. Mr. Eric Gage, Zone Forester; will be in charge. Arranged tours-will start at 1.30 p.m. and continue at intervals of --fone hour. It is expected that Col: the Hon. Thos. L.
