SEPTEMBER 8. The first fall meeting of the Fifty- Fifty Club was held in the home of the presidents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Honey, and sixteen members attended. The meeting. opened with "Day is Dying in the West" and the Twenty Third Psalm repeated in unison, followed by the reading of the previous meeting's minutes and the Treasurer's report. Mrs. Bruce Beare then gave a very interesting discourse on the family history! of the McLaughlin family, from the. days of the McLaughlin: Car- riage Company of Enniskillen to the present-day amalgamation with the General Motors Corporation in Osha- wa. Many impressive sidelights: of their father's Christian upbringing on Colonel Sam and his brothers held the continued - attention of Mrs. Beare's audience. Mrs. Ellsworth - Kennedy followed with a fine. solo rendition of "Bless This House"; which was very well re- ceived.
