Issue Warning To Fishermen LINDSAY.--With the trout season naving opened over the week-end, a stern warning. about fishing in this area has been issued hy the Depart- of Lands and Forests at Lindsay. Mr. Gordon Buie of the Lindsay office, says that big, yellow conspic- uous cards, some 1,200 of them, are Durham, Northumberland, Petérboro and Lindsay bring to the attention of fishermen the special Fisheries regu- lations which apply to these counties only and in no other part of Ontario. Track and Field PLAN SECOND ANNUAL PORT PERRY AND DISTRICT TRACK AND FIELD MEET At an executive meeting held Tues- day, May 11th; at the Del Restaurant, plans were made for the sécond an- tinal, Port Perry and District Track and Field to be held Saturday, May 29, atthe FAIR GROUNDS, Official Practice for all interested athletes will commence TUESDAY, MAY 18 (and will continue every Tuesday after 4) with MR, PORTER and JOHN WAL- DINSPERGER taking charge of track and special field events respec- tively, It was revealed at the meet- ing that 64 ATHLETES have officially JOINED the' club including entries -in all age groups. OFFICIAL CRESTS are on their way and will be' avail- able (it is expected) on or"before MAY 29. PRESENT RECORD hold- ers will be issued with Souvenirs bear- ing their name and the date and the record prior to the meet and those who establish a new record on May 29-Wwill be given a SPECIAL AWARD signifying their accomplishment, An official name for the club -- THE CORONATION TRACK AND FIELD CLUB, PORT PERRY, to be used on sweaters and medal awards -- was' adopted.
