A. held their February meeting on Wednes- day last at the church with an at- tendance of 26 ladies. Mrs. Glenn Hood our president presided, and the meeting opened with the singing of hymn "I do Not Ask QO Lard". The Lord's prayer was repeated in unison. The Scripture, found in Luke 19:11-28 was read by Mrs. Cameron Aldred. Offering amounted to $6.64. A letter written by Dorthy Kilpatritk, a mis- sionary, was read by Mrs. Douglas Aldred from the magazine 'Observer', Mrs, Alan Martyn chose for her topic for the afternoon, the meaning of the W.A. and the M. & M. and several points were made clear that were not The hymn "We Give Thee but Thine Own" closed the devotional portion of the meeting, In absence of our secretary, Mrs. Everett Prentice read the minutes, and roll call Was answered by a verse of scrip- ture. Mrs, Prentice donated to the birthday show. Mrs, Eliza Fralick took up the offering. Business portion. included reading the new group names and conveners for suppers for the next year. Mrs. Pogue is to plck up the cups ordered to our set, at Lindsay. Ladies were reminded to donate fruit to the Hospital, and Mra. Pogue do- nated p box of patterns to be sold at 26¢. each, There will be congrega- tional meeting followed by a ple so- cial on Thuraday, Feb. 17 at the church. Mr. Cecil Fralick to he the auctioneer. A supper will be planned at the March meeting. First prizes went to Clara Dowson and Angus Wilkinson. Evelyn Redman and Jack The Farm Forum met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Heayn last Monday evening. The discussion was on Farm Marketing Abroad. We are hoping to have a guest next week when we meet at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Orval Heayn to discuss the wel- fare of the Farmer versus that of the Urban worker. _ Mr.-and Mrs. C.
