Con- sumed in the five at the farm of Wal- ter Lynde were 10 tons of straw and nearly two acres of wheat in a fire which started from a comibne as the owner was cutting the wrain, Stanley Lynde, son of the owner of the farm, north and west of the ham- let of Ashburn; said that the fire was started shortly before nine in the evening when the motor on a combine backfired. This caused a fire about the motor which resulted in $100 da- mage to the machine. But it also ig- nited the straw behind the combine.
