In it are brought together an array of services devoted to a com- mon objective. The restoration of health, and the saving and. prolonga- tion of life. And nowadays, more than ever before another benefit is provided in the preservation of health through the observance of customs or the acceptance of practices provéd by hospitals' research .d4s important to well-being. Our hospital is the community health centre, serving all' day, every day, year round. It is more than a buildng with complex -equipment, it is people. It is Doctors, Nurses, Te- chnicans,. Laundresses, Cooks . . , . a small army of men and women whose history has been one of steady ad-|- vancement against disease and suf- fering. This building, with this small army of people, didn't just happen, it came into existance because our com- munity needed a hospital. Most of the money that built and equipped it came from public subscription, To get that money, and to build the hos- pital, and, afterward to operate it, a little group of sincere, unpaid citizens Assumed the burden. " Now, with the fourth Hospital Day approaching, since our Hospital open- ed, we feel we have much to be proud of, and at this time offer a sincere and cordial welcome to all to visit the Community Memorial Hospital, on National] + Hospital Day, Saturday, May 12th, between 20 pm. and 4.80 pm. 17-YEAR-OLD GIRL children in Vespra township, Ont, two years younger than she Is, but she says she has no trouble As for the pupils, they speak for themselves: Betty O'Hara, right, having her school work checked, $ considers teacher a frlend rather than a disciplinarian. : with discipline.
