Friends were greeted Port Perry. This was in honour of their daughter, Barbara, who the day previous graduated from Western University in Physical and Health Ed- ucation. Thursday night the church board by Elders M. E. McCrea and Mr. J. F. met at the home of Mr. and Mrs, Les Vickery. Tulips and ferns made a colorful spring like background. The Sunday School marched in a of last week with her sister Mrs. E. body to occupy the front pews. The choir of sixteen teen-age voices was most harmoneous accompanied at the organ hy Mrs. G. Hunter. Our minister, Rev. Mr. Linstead assisted the guest speaker, Rev. Mr. Burkeholder who unfolded a message, leaving with all ages splendid advice. Mar- tyn plus all the folk who helped, too. At Sunday School Linda Tripp as- sisted Mrs. Hunter on the piano for accompanying the hymns and Joan Tripp deposited her birthday money. Mr. and Mrs. W. Webb, Haliburton, with Mr. and Mrs. A. Hunter on Sun. Mrs. Geo. Skelding and two child- ren of Bowmanville spent all last week , with her in-laws Mr. and Murs. Butson, Scugog Wednesday evening we were able to enjoy an exceptionally beautiful sun- set as we gathered in the Head School for the last Home & School meeting of the season,' 4 It was learned that the Head School had won the prize for highest attend- ance during the year. In choosing our executive for the ensuing - year we were requested to' '| get a new president in place of Mrs. Jas. Wilson and a new sec'y in place of Mrs. Glen Hood. These two ladies served us faithfully in attendance and excellent work and had well earned a rest. Therefore the future executive will be: Pres.--Mrs. Russel Pogue Vice-Pres.--Mrs. C. Aldred Sec'y--Mrs. Don Gerrow Treas.--Mrs. Wm. Loates Representative member--Mrs. Wm. Middleton. Mis. K. Crozier projected wo en- lightening films and Mrs. C. Dorothy Ianson introduced our guest speaker, Miss Lillian Ward of Toronto. Lillian chose as her sub- ject "Lets keep Humming", which proved to be a most interesting sub- ject for both ladies and gentlemen. Ruth Foster introduced the Kit- chen Tune Busters from Brooklin. They provided an excellent entertain- ment and were assisted by Mrs. Allan Jackson, who favoured us with two readings, . Kathleen Leask thanked everyone who helped to make the meeting a success and a social hour brought a very enjoyable evening to a close, Blakely and dedicated by singing the Hear .
