Prince Albert Tdesday afternoon the annual Sun- day School picnic was held on the spacious grounds at Geneva Park un- der ideal weather conditions. Majority of members enjoyed the comfort of the Doyle bus and mar- velled at the driver's patience. Others arrived later in the family car. The younger age indulged in bathing and swings, while older ones just roamed around. At five bells, approximately eighty sat down to a long table laden with the customary eats, topped with ice cream. Half hour of sports were run off by a committee appointed, Loraine Wilson and Grace Beacock of which results follow: Mixed 8 and under--Garry Newnham, Terry Middleton. : Girls 4-6--Cathy Brown, Jerri Lee Doyle Boys 4-6--Bruce Wilson, G. Miss Patsy Cutt of Goderich enjoy- ed a week with her friend Miss Beth Hunter, Recent visitors with Mr, and Mrs. R. Butson included Mr. and Mrs, J. Pringle and two sons of Rochester; Mrs. Fox and daughter, Toronto. Mr. and Mrs. L. Beacock and Grant attended the "walk" in Cobourg on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Skelding and son Mr. and Mrs, Jack Skelding spent the week-end in Muskoka district. Mr, C. Smith, Toronto is spending some time with his daughter Mr. and Mrs. C. Newnhams, Mr, and Mrs. Larry Glasgow and sons, Brusselles, spent a portion of their vacation with her parents Mr. and Mrs, A, Robertson and at the Grant Hunter home.' Congratulations to two of our young people. First Miss Gail Hod- gins who has been hired in a Toronto school. Mr. Barry Fletcher who has a school in Oshawa. Both are gradu- ates of Toronto Teacher's College. Mr, and Mrs. Geo. Skelding attend- ed the Centennial of her girl-hood days at Streetsville, they remained a few days with her brother Mr. and Mrs. Arch. Mrs. Collins spent a few days with relatives in Whitby. - Scugog Island Guides Attend Camp 1st Scugog Island Guide Co. was very fortunate to have the opportun- ity to send 8 of their guides to the Provincial Guide camp at Doe Lake, The girls left on July 1st and will be home July 16th. On their first Saturday at camp they went to see the Queen. The following Tuesday they had a trip thru Algonquin park and visited the museum. Their guider Mrs. Ivan Thompson is from the Durham district and we do wish to thank her for the wonder- ful opportunity she gave our girls, for our district didn't have a camp this year and without this invitation our girls would have missed the wonder- ful training that camp life teaches.
