This afternoon, Monday, we shall' lay ' Mr. John Pearce to rest. What more could one ask? He lived to be 94 years old, and saw_his grandchildren happily married; and held in his hands his great-grandson: He was tenderly cared for by his 'children, and had a host of friends dropping in ever so often'to see him. But the years take their toll, These earthly bodies are not made to last forever; and for that, we give God thanks, They serve us well; and then the time comes when we outgrow them, and leave them be- hind. We shall treasure many happy memories, and. look forward to seeing again, "those. whom .we have loved, and, lost awhile," Our deepest sym- pathy and love to. all the members of the family. . We missed many faces on Sunday; but our summers 'are so short, that we must take advantage of these lovely days to do our visiting, - We are fortu- nate on the Island to have so many come to us during the summer; and it is a joy to have them worship with ps. On Sunday our Choir sang "My Jesus [1 love Thee;" and Mr, A, E.
