MUSIC 60 DANCERS Dancers Babs Christie, Lorraine Thompson and Judy Shaw are three of the reasons why Music '60 is one of the most spectacular shows on CBC television this year. On alternate eit, CER EE tingly Mondays the dancers appear with Joyce Hahn, Wally Koster and their guests on The Hit Parade. On other Mondays, Music "60 presents The Jack Kane Hour, when Jack and his Manchester Credit Union The annual meeting of the Man- chester Credit Union was held in the Myrtle Hall on Wednesday, February 10th.. In spite of the poor weather the meeting drew the usual excellent attendance. Mr, Hamer, president of the Credit Union, chaired the meeting and reports were heard from - the credit committee, the supervisory com- mittee and the board of directors. Highlights of the directors report was was the opening of the new office on the ground floor of the Jephson house Brooklin conveniently situated on the main street. The supervisory com- mittee reported the books of the credit union to be in order and that there has at no time been any non-payment which had to be written off. An ever increasing request for loans by mem- bers was the report of the credit com- mittee and a request for patience as the members could be asked to wait their turn until money was available but that all approved loans could be handled if two weeks notice could be given, Eighty-three new loans were granted in the last year. Mr. Raycroft of the Credit Union League spoke briefly and reported on the new stabilization fund which is being set up which will guarantee that no credit union could possibly dissolve with any dollar loss to members. Mr. Raycroft congratulated the M.C.U. as being one of the top credit unions in the province in its growth and told the group that credit union was fol- lowed closely by a great many people interested in the movement. Mrs. Hamer presented the financial statement highlighting the gross re- ceipts of the year of over half a mil- lion dollars. The profit after all ex- penses as approximately six thousand dollars and after 20% was set aside for guarantee fund (to take care of bad loans if any) the rest was to be divided among the members. Following the report the directors recommended paying 49, dividend on shares and the members approved the motion carried. Members and inter- ested people may pick up detailed fin- ancial reports in the office at any time. x It was with regret that the members heard Mr. Gordon Hamer decline to run for office. Following the elettion of officers found Mr. Roy Robertson, R.R, 2, Port Perry, a new member on the board of directors.
