Thirty members, ladies and guests enjoyed a gala even- ing watching their bowls on strikes, spares, odd counts, taking the head pin out, blows and gutter balls. Each year 'this event gets bigger & bigger. The first time we had but two alleys now it has grown till we use 6 alleys. Everyone gets a kick out of it, es- pecially those who never bowl except on our night. ' A great deal of credit goes to Harry DeShane, convenor for the night, who had everything working at the best. All members are requested to I attend. Guide and Brownie Mother's Auxiliary The May Meeting of the Guide and Brownie Mothers' L. A. will be held on Tuesday evening, May 24th at 8.30 p.m, in the Scout Hall. A brief busi- ness meeting will be followed by a work period of preparations for the Women Teacher's Federation ban- quet to be held on Wed., evening, May 26th at 6.80 o'clock. A social period with Group I in charge of lunch will be a welcome conclusion to the meet- ing. Junior Farmers Tour Area A large group of Ontario County Junior Farmers and Junior Institute members enjoyed a tour by car of the Uxbridge and Beaverton areas on Sun- day, May 16th. ' The tour. included a visit to the Thomas Foster Memorial Temple, Uxbridge, Dunrobin and Elmeroft Farms, Beaverton; The Old Stone Church, Beaverton and a drive along the Lake Simcoe shore at Beaverton. The tour concluded with a weiner roast and picnic supper at a roadside park near Beaverton, The special guest on the tour was Mr, Alexander Braid, Scottish Young Farmer from Kinross, Scotland; who is- now visiting in Ontario County. The Ontario County Junior Farm- er's Association will hold, a Spring Get-Together and Play Party in the Township Hall, Brooklin, on Satur- day, May 21st, at 8.80 p.m. Frank Barkey, Jeanne Pearson and Cloyne Stearman are the committee members in charge of the programme. -All interested rural young men and women are urged to keep this date in mind and attend on Saturday, May 21st.
