During the business, dues were col- lected, after which a sick card was signed by members, to accompany a gift to be sent to Myrtle Snelgrove, a hospital patient. Homes were of- fered for a future euchre. A sugges- tion that carried was the idea of a small bursary for grade 8, plus a tro- phy for each room. C. Parkinson pro- mised to assist as to some informa- tion. res. and sec'y to contact prin- cipal Mr. Becker. More details at a later date, A. Middleton and J. Peel kindly of- fered to purchase all euchre prizes during the year. Meeting adjourned by repeating Mizpah Benediction. Interesting contests and bingo con- ducted by E. Hunter and I. Pugh. Saturday night, as you remember, was very cold outside, but a warm atmosphere could be felt in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gibson who kindly entertained over forty friends. Heayn and Mr. Ross Murphy who are under doctor's orders. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Brignall, of Markham, enjoyed Sunday dinner with their friends Mr. and Mes. J. W. Forster. Mrs. Edith McMillan, and daughter Mrs, Potter and Mr. Potter, visited 'the former's sisters Mrs. Collins and Mrs. Somerville on a recent Sunday. A happy Birthday to Robert Luke for January 31st. Scugog We regret that Rev. J. K. Braham is indisposed due to the strain of his duties. He has therefore decided to rest for a few days, with friends in Muskoka. The Board of Stewards will plan the services for this Sunday. After the repast Mr, Braham called the meeting to order with the reading of Psalm 27, and followed it with a prayer. Mr, Braham gave an introductory talk, noting that there had been 10 accomplishments of the year mention- | ing his pleasure -and appreciation of | the 'interest displayed. Several youths have expressed a desire to-join the Church at Easter, so a Course in Church membership for teen-agers will be studied prior to that time. Maurice Fralick expressed a desire to be replaced as chairman of the M. and M, Committee by Edna McLaren. Edna Beckett and Mrs. Braham will still he organists with Cecil Fralick as Choir leader. The Jr. Choir leaders Centennial celebration and develop were re-elected for a 8-year! term. | remain the same as last year. We wish to congratulate Mr. Anson Gerrow in gaining the post of Warden of Ontario County, In little over 100 years of Ontario Wardens, only six have come from Scugog, 3 from Head. The first one Wm. Sexton 1870 came from the Carter farm and now in our Centennial year the Head is again baptisms, 8 marriages and 2 burials | proud to boast a Warden. The other during the year.
