Moore, Port ET Catholic Women's League Miss Mauteei "McLaughlin was the guest of honour at a briday shower sponsored by the C.W.L. held in the parish hall of the Immaculate Con- ception Church on Monday, July 22. Mrs. Amell started the ball 10lling by reading aloud some humorous ad- vice on "How to keep my man and keep him happy" and then the guests were entertained with a "Kitchen Shower" contest. Maureen, with the help of two at- tendant's then opened the assortment of beautifully wrapped gifts which were passed around the circle of guests. Mrs. Jack Geer made a "bridal" hat from a paper plate and thie brightly hued ribbons and bows adorning the gifts, which the "bride" was required to wear for the rest of thé evening. From time to time, large balloons were exploded shower- ing confetti upon Maureen and her attendants. enjoyed by all.
