The-first three placings in the Sunderland 4-H Dairy Calf Club were as follows: Junior Holstein-- 1st--Fred Waines Senior Holstein-- 1st--Evelyn Page 2nd--Ronald Geo. Thompson 3rd--Jim Rennie In the showmanship class, the first three placings were as follows: 1st--Keith Page 2nd--Ronald Geo. Thompson 3rd--Neil Anderson Mr. Ken Holliday, Brooklin, prominent Holstein Breeder, was the judge. The first three placings in the Brock 4-H Grain Club were as follows: 1st--Ralph Morrison 2nd--Jim Rennie 3rd--Allan Jex Mr. Douglas Young, Assist- ant Representative for Victoria County, was the judge. The final. results for these two 4-H clubs, as determined by the year's work, will be an- nounced later. The Brock Agricultural So- ciety and the Sunderland Co- operative are the sponsors of these two 4-H clubs. Don Had- den and Neil Raines are the club leaders for the Sunderland 4-H Dairy Calf Club, while John Mawthorne and Jim Davidson are the leaders for the Brock 4-H Grain Club. X-- Greenbank News (Too late for last week) Over twenty young people of the community attended the corn roast and wiener roast held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Hunter last Saturday even- ing. - All report a very enjoy- able time. On Friday evening the Under- ground Four presented their programme of folk songs and instrumental music to a good crowd. Mrs, John Cook gave a reading and Miss Jo-Anne Har- ris contributed a piano solo. Mr. Ed. Phoenix, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Phoenix of London, also Mr. Lloyd Phoenix of Que- nell, B.C,, visited Mr. and Mrs. Fred Phoenix and other rela- tives here during the week-end. Mrs, Dr. Petrass and Mr. and Mrs. Guy Madeford of South Bend, Ind., were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Leask last week. Mr. and Mrs. John Dobson celebrated their 30th wedding aniversary last Saturday even- ing. Those present were Mr. Earle Dobson, Mr. and Mrs. Cloyne Stearman and Mrs. Dob- son's mother, Mrs, C. Ward. They had dinner in Toronto and later attended a theatre to see "Laurence of Arabia", Mr. and Mrs. Almer Rennie of Sunderland and Mr. and Mrs. George Beaton of Wick, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Phoenix last Saturday evening. anne and David of Bath, were visitors at our church last Sun- day morning.
