Accor- ding to a news item appearing , in the "50 Years Ago" column | of a local newspaper this church was built in 1896 at a cost of $5800. This seems incredible | in this day and age of inflated prices. Of course much free labour was contributed and in those days labour was free, every hand's turn was not val-| ued in dollars and cents.
