A quilt is finished ready fox sale. Mrs. McArthur reported 26 church calendars sold. Mrs. Ashmore reported on the Dean- ery at Oshawa, at. which 14 members attended. Final ar- rangements were made for the chicken-pie supper Oct. 25th-- 13 members and one visitor at- tended. President closed with prayer after which Mrs. W, Van Camp and Mrs. T. Graham ser- ved cake and ice cream. The O.N.O. held its October meeting in the form of a Hal- lowe'en party at the home of Shirley' Wheeler. 18 members and 4 visitors arrived in a vari- ety of costumes. Mr. Lee Sturman is building a house to the east end of the village, on the south side of the road. Rev. E., McNeil has his lot fenced, a well: dug, and a house staked out, on the oposite side of the road. Next door Mir. Robert Nodwell has added a new kitchen to his house. To the south of the vill- age Mr. Martin Fisher has also built a new kitchen, and in- stalled an oil furnace.
