The quota of 100 articles of child- ren's clothing for Services at Home and Abroad, was almost completed. The Marathon Party is to be held on the even- ing of November 27, at 8 o'clock in the Municipal building. Mrs. M. B. Dymond gave an excel- lent report on the semi-annual convention held in Sarnia which she and Mrs, Reéinig™attended. In the past year $1,000,000. was raised, by the order, a good por- tion of which was used for edu- cational purposes and social ser- vice. There was an invitation from Viscount Greenwood chap- ter in Whitby, to attend their 25th Birthday Bridge. Mrs. Smeltzer curator of "Tweeds- muir Village History", gave a brief talk on the contents which she is compiling. There were two volumes from which she read some excerpts,--notes on the past history of Port Perry. She appealed to the members for any stories she might add to the collection. Miss M. Harris thanked her on behalf of the members.
