No" I ON a 16--- PORT PERRY STAR, THURS, NOV. th, 1968 Wed Recently In Port Perry The marriage of Phyllis Nora Warren and Garry Alvin Geer, hoth of Port Perry, took place recently in Port Perry -United Church with the Reverend E. S. Linstead 'officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Clarence Warren, Port Perry, and the bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Ella Dickin- son, Port Perry, and the late Mr. Geer. Mr. Wayne Powell sang "O Lord Most Holy" and "Wedding Prayer" accompanied by Miss Gloria Hastings. Given in marriage by her fa- ther, the bride wore a floor- length gown of carnation-white satapeau. The fitted bodice featured a scoop neckline-out- lined with appliques of import- ed Guipure lace and lily-point sleeves. The. controlled skirt was enhanced by similar appli- ques and dramatized by a sun- burst of unpressed folds begin- ning at the side-front waist and | falling into a cathedral train, trimmed with wide self bows. A bouffant fingertip veil of silk illusion was held by a pearl and crystal Cleopatra headdress and she carried red roses, stephan- otis and feathered chiysanthe: mums. Mrs. Raymond Desautels of Port Perry was her sister's ma- tron of honor and the other at- tendants were Mrs. Gordon Hol- liday, Raglan; Miss Marie Gre- han, Scarborough; Mrs. Robert Slack, Port Perry, and junior | bridesmaids, Miss Nancy and Miss Linda Warren, sisters of the bride. The seniors wore royal blue peau de soie, styled with fitted bodices, scoop necklines, three- quarter sleeves and bell-shaped, street-length skirts. From a bow at the back neckline a free panel floated to the hem. The junior bridesmaids were in white peau de soie with royal blue sashes and back panels. They carried nosegays of white | chrysanthemums, tinted - royal blue, and pink roses. Their head- dresses were clusters of tiny flowers and petals in royal blue with pearls falling, Cleopatra stvle, on the forehead. Mr. Robert Vernon, Oshawa, was best man and the ushers] were Messrs. Jack Warren, Ro- bert McNeil and Robert Slack, all of Port Perry. A reception followed in the; Legion Hall. Mrs. Robert Slack assisted by Mrs. Murray Geer gave a miscellane- ous shower. At a supper show- er co-workers presented-Miss Warren with a clock-radio.
