McNeil is under the doctor's care and ex- pects to enter Port Perry Mem- orial Hospital on Wednesday, for surgery. Rev. Cooper of Uxbridge, who retired from the ireenbank charge a few years ago, is taking charge of the morning service at Seagrave during Rev. MecNeil's illness. This will be a joint service for the whole charge and will com- mence at 10.30. Everyone from all appointments is urged to at- tend, and make it a worthwhile effort. All are invited to re- main for Sunday School imme- diately after the church service. A few years ago Mr, Milton Groves built a small home -to the east of our village, across the road from Mr. and | Mrs, Garfield Stone. They Wy great friends. On Tuesday of last week Mr. Stone drove Mr. Groves to Toronto on a busi- ness trip. On Wednesday ev- ening, since they had not no- ticed, the old gentleman around, Mrs. Stone called in to see if he was alright, and was shocked to find that he had passed away in his sleep, She contacted his family in Toronto and they made funeral arrangements. The funeral service was con- ducted in the McDermott-Pana- baker Funeral Home, in Port Perry. The remains were plac- ed in Prince Albert Cemetery Vault, for later burial in Little Britain Cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. R. Reynolds and Mr. and Mrs. Neil McMillan visited with their aunt Mrs. Spence at the home of her daughter Mr. and Mrs, A.
