"I would like to apply for a building permit for a mink shelter forty-eight by eighteen feet (48' by 18') which will not be a permanent structure since I. would prefer to use it for about three years. Over this to about one hundred and then I plan to move them to my property at the Beaver Meadow. However, as I have heard that it is impossible to keep mink in Port Perry, I feel that the number of mink with which I am starting and the number I intend to have at the end of the three years would do no great damage to the area since I in- tend to move them at that time. If I had to take the twelve mink to the Beaver Meadow now, it ' would not be worth the trouble of travel back and forth to guard, feed and care for them, whereas with the hundred mink it would be more worth the while. I would appreciate your approval of this request, which I intend to be quite reasonable". This matter was discussed but no action taken pending further information.
