At the last meeting it was | brought to the attention of the members that some person or | persons destroying the signs at | the Lake warning of the dan- gerous ice conditions at the early forming of the ice, these signs are designed for the safe- ty of the public. It was also brought up that a person or persons have opened a box at the lake and thrown out the life preserver, these preservers are put there for protection of the public during' the summer, the destroying of these now in the ice and snow is or can be a very serious of- fence. The shooting committee re- ported there are a good num- ber of members taking up the shooting both for the trophies and the Dominion competition awards, there are 20 Sr. mem- bers shooting for the Sr. tro- phy, and 8 Jr. members shoot- ing for Jr. trophy, and that there are some very difficult targets, this shooting has got to be very keen. Hunter Safety Training Classes are now open for "persons who wish to take up this training so that they might get their hunting license for | the summer hunting, these cour- ses are for persons of 14 years of age ,as well as for persons of older ages, also for the la- dies who wish to do some hunt- ing. This course must be taken before a hunting license can be purchased. You are taught the proper method of handling fire arms, and to know legal game. Arrangements can be made by contacting O, O.
