Elect New Slate The Anglican Parish Hall was the setting for the Annual meeting of the Honeydale Br. with a splendid representation of members. The Pres. Mrs. N. Williams called the meeting to order at 2 p.m. with the sing- ing of the Ode, and repeating the Mary Stewart Collect in unison. The roll call was answered by the payment of dues and rent, The President welcomed two new members. Officers and Conveners of the various departments presented the Annual reports, showing a busy year under the W.I. ban- ner, "For Home and Country". Successful projects included-- two Short Courses, one Local Leaders' Training School Cour- se, Fall Fair Exhibits, sponsor- ing of two Junior Homemaking Clubs, a successful Art and Rug Exhibition, processing of Can- cer Dressings, Tweedsmuir Competition, Teas, Celebrations for members, etc. Funds were raised for Scholarships, Dele- gates. expenses, local Hospital, Ontario Hospital, Fair Board, Homemaking Clubs, and many other worthy causes. It could be summed up as a year of progress. Mrs. Hardy commented on the Motto: "What is our gen- eration leaving behind." Cawker brought greetings from Ontario South, and gave a few "highlights" of her year visiting the Branches in the District. She also gave helpful suggestions for Branch im- provement, painting out two very important things to re- member when belonging to an organization. I. Attend meet- ings regularly. II. Take an in- terest in projects and activities. Mrs. E. Bryant brought in the report of the nominating committee and Mrs. Cawker in- stalled the officers for 1964-65.
