The choir sang an anthem -- "Come Unto Me and I will give you rest". Rev. Romeril preached from the text, "Despise Ye -- The Church of God?" A Memorial Service was held in St. John's Church on Satur- day morning at 10 o'clock. Sun- day morning Canon Ashmore chose as his text "The Day Thou Gavest". The Town and Country Club met Wednesday night with 18 members attending. The . new president, Bruce Mountjoy presiding, gave a little speech and conducted the business period. A committee was appointed to secure a new curtain which is needed for an extra class in Sunday School. Next roll call to be answered by suggestions for money-mak- ing. A fine ocloured film, "The Test" was shown and a discus- sion _on it followed. A game-- . To Tell the Truth -- was played. Closed with Devotional by Mrs. Ivan Thompson after which lunch was served. Mrs. David McLean and Mrs. Henry Wotten attended the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Neals, Peterborough on Wednesday, Jan' 27th.
