The jr. {boys defeated . their hosts while ih the senior boys' LL alae were defeated by one point. The girls basketball teams hosted the Sutton teams Friday afternoon. The juniors defeat- ed their guests but the seniors were defeated. The coach com- | mented that although her girls had been defeated she was greatly pleased because she felt that they had played their best. The year book, the Hilltop, is now being ordered. The minutes of the last meet- ing were read and adopted. This was followed by a brief message by the President, Frank Honey, who thanked the Directors for the help they had given in making the 1964 Fair a success. After reading and discussing the correspondence, $10.00 was voted to the Ontario Crop Im- provement Association, The Board regretfully accepted the resignation of Laverne Martyn who has done an outsanding job in looking after the gates. The financial statement was read and commented on. Both it and the Auditor's report were accepted. A report was given on the District Meeting and the dif- ferent problems of other Fairs were mentioned. Reports also were given by the Committee Chairmen. Some ideas for im- provement were suggested for this year. Mr. Lynn Fair re- ported on the 4-H Club projects. In the Dairy Calf Club 32 start- ed and 27 finished. There were 8 in the Grain Club. Two bulls shown by Harold Honey & Son were nominated for All-Cana- dian at the Royal. The Unemployment Insurance Com- mission said recently that quite a few Canadians have applied more than once, either acciden- tally or deliberately. Applica- tions are still coming in at a rate of 5,000 per day, and Com- mission records show that many of these are from those who al- ready have a Social Insurance Number. What should you do if you find yourself with more than one Social Insurance Number? At the moment, the Unem- ployment Insurance Commission is not so concerned with how these duplicate numbers were obtained, but how the possessors of multiple registrations can be- come one-number owners again, The first thing an individual must do is report the problem to the nearest local office of the Commission, bringing with him, or mailing, all the Social Insur- ance Number cards in his pos- session. The Commission will simply cancel the later number or numbers and supply the em- ployee with a new registration card if the first has been mis- placed. The Commission stresses that it is most important that Canadians Should Have ONE Social Insurance Number an employee have only one So- cial Insurance Number, so that his unemployment insurance contributions will be correctly credited to his account.
