Mrs. Jack- son states: Besides the Britan- nica Junior, the shelves offer The Book of Knowledge and the Encyclopaedia Canadiana. Registered borrowers in this department numbered 710 last year, They borrowed 13,484 books and magazines in 1964. Mrs. Jackson notes that 172 new books were purchased for the children last year, bringing to total to 2,209 volumes. Both librarians presented their annual reports to Mr. John Jefford, chairman of the Port Perry Library Boad. It was Ronnie's birthday, Mr. Donald Asling and Mr. Amold Kerry attended the A.O0.T.S. supper at Uxbridge Trinity Church on Monday. CAR CLUB RACES ON LAKE TCE The Oshawa Motor Sport Club annual ice trials were held on Lake Scugog recently. The com- petitors raced against time on a twisty course laid out on the ice just out from shore at Port Perry. Winner of first place was Dale Neil of Oshawa, driving a 1964 (Corvair; second place went to Eric McNab in an Austin 850. driving a 1965 Corvair.
